But how do you actually do it? We will show you step by step and give helpful tips based on our experience in affiliate marketing.

Tip number 1:

Sign up as an affiliate marketer with a program like Amazon, eBay, or Rakuten Linkshare. Develop your own web pages to sell their product and advertise them via your social media accounts or a blog post if you have one already! It’s all about building trust with potential buyers who may not know anything about the products they are clicking on.

Tip number 2:

Create different web pages to link to, and make sure your affiliate link is placed in an obvious place, like the top of the page or in a pop-up ad that people may be triggered to click on.
Try not to just put your whole affiliate link in a blog post or other places where readers may read quickly and not remember the whole link, rather use something like Bitly or ClickDimension which will take people directly to your affiliates' products when they click on it.

Tip number 3:

If you have a small traffic blog, it’s best to spread your affiliate network to many different affiliates from all kinds of niches. This will help you grow your income faster because you are connected with more products and services. People are less likely to buy products from the same company every time.

Tip number 4:

If a consumer has already purchased one product from Amazon, for example, they wouldn’t be as likely to buy a similar product in the same niche (unless it’s something people always need, like toilet paper and other household supplies). Instead, try linking to products from different companies.

Tip number 5:

If you have a high-traffic blog, it’s best to focus on one affiliate network. This will help you build relations and connections with the affiliate companies. When you advertise for one company exclusively, for example, Amazon, they can put any of your links in their newsletter or promotions and it helps to spread your content around.

Tip number 6:

If you don’t have many visitors yet, or if you are unsure of how popular your blog is going to be, sign up with more than one affiliate program and spread them around to different web pages. Then once your blog is more popular, focus on just one or two affiliate programs that fit your audience niche best.

Tip number 7:

Include a full affiliate link on your web pages, like http://www.amazon.com/blogname or http://www.ebay.com/yourblogname, and make sure there is a good call-to-action (CTA) at the end, such as “Buy Here Now”.
Make sure to include your full name and email address on every page of your blog where you have an affiliate link so that it’s easy for customers to contact you if they have any questions or need help purchasing something from your site.

Tip number 8:

Make sure you check your affiliate networks to see what products sell the best and apply them to your blog. You can do this by using a suitable tool like Google Analytics or other analytics software.
Write blog posts about your affiliate products for more traffic. Find blog posts that have been about other things that people might be interested in buying (a book, for example), then add an Amazon link and a call-to-action to buy it as a way to promote the customer into buying it from Amazon.

Tip number 9:

Create social media share buttons on all your web pages that take people directly to the affiliates' product pages such as Amazon, eBay, iTunes, or anything else. Make sure they link to your affiliate link so that people can click through and purchase your product.

Tip number 10:

Put your affiliate links in the sidebar of every webpage you publish and in the footer. Make sure to include your full name, email address, and phone number.

Tip number 11:

Set up a business email account or Gmail account for social media purposes only so that people will be more likely to contact you with their questions about the products or services you offer.

Tip number 12:

Don’t spam customers with affiliate offers all day long, you don’t want them to get used to seeing advertising on your blog and stop reading it.

Best of luck!
